Everyone knows the attempts of biology scientists and physicians to find a way of converting cells of one species into another. This would make it possible to find the possibility of replacing the dead or damaged cells of one organ with others, which were not obtained from the cells of the organ itself. Such an opportunity until recently was associated only with the stem cells of the body, because they allowed the transformation of cells into another type. The problem of obtaining a sufficient number of them, thus, became an important scientific task. Recently, American scientists from the University of Duke managed to turn the scar tissue of the heart, which was formed due to myocardial infarction, into ordinary muscle tissue without the use of stem cells. Recall, the scar in the muscle tissue of the heart is formed after myocardial infarction and then does not participate in the work of the heart, thereby reducing its performance.

Medical scientists have established that by introducing a combination of molecules from RNA into fibroblast cells forming a scar on the heart, the latter turn into working cardiomyocytes and become fully working cells. According to the researchers, this way of transforming cells into another type is possible not only for muscle tissue, but also for brain tissue, kidneys, liver and other organs. And, most importantly, this method is much more progressive than the method using stem cells because of its ease of use and the absence of genetic changes.

In addition, researchers from the University of California conducted a series of experiments and proved that human fat cells can be transformed into smooth muscle cells, which opens new prospects for the treatment of heart disease, intestines, and many other medical pathologies. Unfortunately, the new technology does not save you from obesity.

And whatever they say, the knowledge of the world by man is impossible without the use of the human body. And its resource is not unlimited. Therefore, there have been and will be attempts to create ways of transforming cells into another type to prolong the vital activity of our body. And we will have the hope to do more useful if not for all mankind, then at least for our country.
