Waste of the Earth

Space exploration showed: our planet is "breathing"! For each revolution around the axis, it gives to the outer space about 100 thousand M3 helium. The obtained data forced us to take a fresh look at the problem of where to bury the waste of the Earth. It's no secret that today not all waste products can be cleaned or recycled. And among them, unfortunately, are so poisonous that they can completely kill all life. What to do with them?..

The obtained data forced us to take a fresh look at the problem of where to bury the waste of the Earth

Helium, located in the bowels of the Earth, moves to the surface under excessive pressure over the faults of the earth's crust. Then it comes to the surface and gradually leaves the atmosphere into space. But in different places of the Earth the amount of helium is different. This uneven helium breathing allows scientists to judge the deep processes in the bowels of our Earth. Where ancient rocks are exposed on the surface, where later layers are washed away for millions of years of wind and water activity, excessive pressure and an extremely high concentration of helium prevail. And in those areas where kilometer precipitation has accumulated over millions of years, where the earth's crust bends, the concentration of helium, on the other hand, is very low.

At first they decided to hide the waste of the Earth in special containers on the bottom of the World Ocean. At great depths, they say, the water layers are immobile, and the waste left on the bottom will remain there forever. However, studies of oceanologists have shown that even at the bottom of the deepest in the world of the Mariana Trench, water masses move, so that the waste of Earth buried there very soon can be on its surface, and then on the coast...

Perhaps, it is necessary to send waste of the Earth somewhere on the outskirts of the solar system or directly to the Sun - let the waste be burned without residue in its gigantic furnace? However, this method of waste disposal is extremely expensive.

There remains the third option: to hide the waste of the Earth in its bowels. Most recently it was believed that from there all this "garbage" will not go anywhere. But the helium indicator showed that in so many places in nature there are, as it were, "pumps" that raise water from very large depths. Therefore, it is necessary to hide the toxic waste of the Earth deep into the depths with very great care.

To create systems of deep burial, it is necessary, first, to carefully look for suitable places, and secondly, to build reliable storage facilities. It can be, for example, former uranium mines, old mines... It is also estimated the possibility of using as caverns and other natural voids in the bowels of the Earth.

In all cases, of course, it is necessary to take into account the movement of groundwater. Probably, it is necessary to go on additional costs, carefully concreting and cementing such storage facilities. But it can not be otherwise, because in such underground tanks waste should be stored without the slightest leakage for a sufficiently long time: dozens, and in some cases hundreds of years. Until the chemists find effective means to neutralize harmful substances, and even better than their processing for the benefit of mankind.
