This fact is associated with the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere.

Therefore, the threat of excessive ultraviolet irradiation, from which the ozonosphere protects us, seems to become a reality. The reduction in ozone is due to the excessive intake of chlorine and chlorine-containing compounds, in particular freons, which are widely used in refrigeration plants; The reduction in the amount of ozone is also associated with the use of nitrogen. However, according to the results of measurements at US weather stations, the intensity of the flux of ultraviolet rays reaching the earth during the same period... has decreased. This explains the scientists strong pollution of the atmosphere with ozone, contained, mainly, in the exhaust gases of cars.

International efforts are being made to protect the ozonosphere. In March 1985, an international convention on the protection of the ozone layer was signed in Vienna (Austria), which purports to exclude the use of freons where it is not dictated by a pressing need, for example in the household chemistry, in refrigerators.
