Moonstone

Moonstone is a type of feldspar (sodium and potassium aluminum silicate) with a characteristic bluish-silvery sheen. The name given for glowing blue iridescence arising from the structure of the mineral. The mineral is brittle, is very sensitive to shock and compression. Inexperience can sometimes be confused with chalcedony or synthetic spinel.

Moonstone gemstones in the world takes not only a high position and is not in high demand as other gems. This is surprising, since its nice ebb has charm. Homeland blue moonstones considered Burma and Sri Lanka, but its deposits are in Canada.

In South India, not so long ago opened mine greenish-golden moonstone, pours light, like the light of the midnight moon bright southern sky.

Moonstone is sometimes credited with mystical properties, and endow him, though without any objective justification, the magic power of the lunar fields. Moonstone is considered the most suitable for those who were born on the full moon.
